Huckabee visits First RedeemersPresidential candidate speaks on ideals

  • (KRISTEN BERRY/Herald) Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee speaks to the congregation of First Redeemer Baptist Church on Sept. 23.
October 01, 2007Speaking in front of a church congregation may be difficult for most presidential candidates, but it comes easy for Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas and presidential candidate who is also an ordained Southern Baptist Minister.
  • Huckabee spoke at First Redeemer Baptist Church on Sept. 23 and shared some of the ideals and principles of our country that have inspired his candidacy. He was a minister for 12 years and it is clear that Huckabee is a strong voice for Christians who would like to uphold the standards originally set forth by our country's constitution.
  • He said one of the biggest mistakes in our country is that there are many people who want to change our principles to meet our new contemporary behavior rather than change our behavior to meet God's standards which will remain the same forever.
