Huckabee: Bush wanted to be in Arkansas for Central celebration

Here is the first article I found for Mike Huckabee's attendance at the Little Rock Nine Fiftieth Anniversary.

  • LITTLE ROCK - Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee says President Bush likely would have attended ceremonies commemorating of the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Central High School if he had not needed to be before the United Nations today.
The former Arkansas governor told reporters this morning in Little Rock, "he can only be in one place at one time." Huckabee also said that had Bush failed to travel to the U.N., he would have been criticized for that decision.Huckabee said "all eyes are on Little Rock" with the anniversary.
  • He also noted that his daughter Sarah attended Central while he was governor.
I will try to find more, meatier, articles tonight.
