In the first 72 hours after Ames, we received over 1,000 contributions to our campaign from first-time donors. With these contributions we also received a flood of congratulatory emails and congratulatory comments on our blog.
Today I would like to challenge you, to match or even exceed this level of support and to do so by next Monday at midnight.
Our goal is a minimum of 1,000 contributions. Make a contribution of $10, $15, 25, $50, $100 or even $250 online using our secure server and help us meet this goal.
If you are able to make a contribution of $250 or more before next Monday at midnight, we will send you a signed copy of my latest book From Hope to Higher Ground.
The day after Labor Day, is the more traditional start to campaigning for President and heading into this new phase, our campaign needs to be financially ready to take advantage of our rising position in the polls.
In September our campaign plan places a greater emphasis on building up grassroots support and elevating the discussion of issues.
We will focus on providing tools and literature for Volunteers to organize and spread the word in their towns and home states. We will also place a greater emphasis on the issues. For months now the media and Washington pundits have focused on campaign staffs, gamesmanship and dollars raised. We should instead be talking about the issues because Americans deserve a thoughtful, lengthy debate.
With your help, this September we will do our part using the internet and our Volunteers on the ground to focus on the issues. Each campaign owes the American people that much. With deep gratitude,
Everything in this letter is absolutely wonderful! I am so glad to hear that they will be providing tools and lit for volunteers. I was told this a couple months ago. I was starting to think they didn't like me. Maybe I am wrong now. I hope.
