This was originally a politically based blog, under the name Michigan Redneck. Now that I have switched over to Wordpress for main blogging, yet researching genealogy of the Reimels in Pennsylvania and Michigan, Nelsons, Kallises and Selingers in Illinois, Nelsons in Michigan, Kallises and Selingers in Bohemia. I figure I will use this space to blog on ancestry searching, sewing and other girly stuff. If you are from this family, I would love to hear from you. Just leave a comment on one of the posts or email me at gypzychik (a) yahoo (dot) com.
Both these sites are updated daily. Michigan Redneck II is where I am doing most of my posting now. I, along with other Fellow members of Michigan's First Congressional District GOP, am contributing to First GOP Blogs.
Yeah, but will the President ever have to negotiate with a snowman? :)
This is such an interesting topic... I love the idea of normal folks jumping on YouTube and asking questions of the candidates. They won't be easy questions and they won't be the same run of the mill garbage you hear everywhere else.
Where it gets tricky for me is CNN's participation.
Of the thousands of people, normal people, with great questions... they pick snowmen?
And that was with their home team, the Dems. You can only imagine what CNN will allow through the filters with the GOP.
Still, all things considered, I think it's too good an opportunity to pass up. Candidates can't ignore the netroots!
So bring it on, right? If nothing else we'll get to see who can handle questions from snowmen (who have notoriously low IQs). Should be a skill that'll come in handy when negotiating with the Dems in Congress.
While I agree with Nick that the questions are incredibly unprofessional, I think it proves more than we should limit voting rights more than overhaul the YouTube debates.
While I think all the Democrats sold their souls to laugh at some of the questions and pretend like they didn't see the questions 18 THOUSAND times earlier on CNN.
I think FoxNews, ABC (who will take viewer video questions supposedly), or CBS would have handled it a LOT better.
It's a good idea but done unprofessionally.
By the way, I support limiting voter rights to those who own property, have a college education, or serve/served in the military.
