Mike Huckabee on the Situation Room

I am waiting for Mike Huckabee to appear on the Situation Room. OK, here is Huckabee. Wolf Blitzer is talking about poll numbers being good. He is asking Mike about Pat Toomey's attacks in regards to taxes. Mike Huckabee is setting the record straight. The taxes were voted by the people of Arkansas and he didn't sign for all of them. He will not be an old fashioned conservative who will be controlled by Wall Street. He doesn't want to put down other opponents, even though they have been putting him down. He is setting the record straight about Mitty's statement that he "gave special rates to children of illegals" who were planning on going to college. He did not give them special rates. He gave them the same opportunity as all kids of Arkansas. Mike knew it would be better in the long run for them to get good jobs after graduating so they could be independent from government, if they were stuck in minimum wage jobs. Holy!#$#$ Mike is in 2nd place in Iowa polls now. He is different from Rudy Giuliani on abortion. He believes all abortion is wrong. Would Mike ask Rudy as his running mate? It depends, if he can change his views on abortion.

Mike Huckabee on the Creation Question

I did manage to watch Mike Huckabee answer the question of creation. At the first debate candidates were asked the question "Who does not believe in evolution." Mike Huckabee was one of the three candidates who raised their hand. Ever since then the media won't let him live it down.

At this recent debate he was asked about his belief on creation. Wolf Blitzer asked him something around the line of "Do you believe God created the world in 6 days and it was 6,000 years ago." Mike's answer was absolutely brilliant. He said he didn't see how that has anything to do with becoming President. "I'm not planning on writing an eighth grade curriculum," he said. But since the answer was asked of him he answered it honestly. He said he didn't believe that everything was created by complete accident. He doesn't know exactly how it was done, but it was done by God. Does he claim to know it was done in exactly 6 24 hour days 6,000 years ago? No. As he said, "I wasn't there, so I don't know." He got a little chuckle out of it. He also said that if someone wants to believe that they came from primates that's fine with him. Of course Wolf had to say that he didn't answer the question. Yes he did, duh! Mike told him that he did answer the question that he said he believed in creation, just that he doesn't know how long exactly it took.
I wonder how all these other candidates who claim to be Christians and read the Bible figure on this? If people are looking for a true Christian candidate shouldn't they want someone who believes everything in the Bible, not just pick and choose? Maybe that's just my thought. While belief in how the world began isn't going to affect economy, taxes, border issues or International dealings, it does show an incite to a Christian candidate's view of the Bible.
