Hannity and Colmes

I just took off to take a snack break. Took longer than I thought. The long lost sunshine that is back in the UP brought people out and grocery lines. I am back. I kept the TV on when I came back Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes are on FOX News. They were talking to a Democrat Strategist. Remember the hullabaloo about Florida and Michigan holding there primaries early? And the DNC not allowing the Dems to campaign in these states? Well, this strategist is talking about how Michigan and Florida “almighty” Superdelegates will be important in deciding the Democrat nom.

I know, I know I am a Republican. Why am I talking anything about Dems? There isn’t much interesting going on on our side. Hill and Bar a close in delegates. Mac and Huck have a major delegate ratio between them. I am going to channel surf a bit and also see what Rush is talking about. I am wondering if Betty Ford Clinic has a wing for political addiction, argh.

Carl Cameron, Kiss My Ass!

Well, let's add Carl Cameron to the "Kiss my ass" list. I was watching him on FAUX News. I wasn't paying too much attention to him. He is in Florida talking about the election and he mentioned Fred Thompson. Whoever was in the studio asked him if Fred might accept the VP nom. He said that that was what Thompson wanted all along, puhleeze. He said that Fred Thompson will announce his pulling out soon. What an idiot. Fred never said that. Fred Thompson is not in Florida, currently, because he is Tennessee to be with his mother who has pneumonia. He wants to spend time with family. Leave him alone.

I have been thinking. Why would an allegedly conservative cable news with an allegedly majority conservative audience want to dis on a true conservative candidate? They want Hillary to win. Why? Ratings, of course. If we get a crappy nominee who can't win the general election, then Hillay wins. If Hillary wins there will be all kindsa fun and complaining from Hannity and the ilk. Colmes will vehemently defend her to no end. The inner fighting between these two will bring tons of ratings. More so than if there was a conservative president. This would be the same with any other FAUX News show that has panels. It would be rather boring, in their ratings world, if it was just good news on the national front.

Mike Huckabee on Hannity and Colmes

Sean Hannity is interviewing Mike Huckabee. Can't explain his upsurge, but is very glad.
Asks about immigration. Secure border, build fence, no amnesty. Wanted to allow children of immigrants to attend college. They were given rules. Doesn't believe in punishing children for sins of parents. Didn't give the kids any special deals. Kids had no choice to come here. Would rather the kids grow up to be tax payer, not tax taker.
Alan asks him about the attacks. Mike says it is fun. He's being noticed. He's had to run against Clinton political machine. So he's used to it. In Arkansas personal attacks were common. About accuse of using an airplane for personal use. He mortgaged his home to pay for it.
Now Alan is asking about Wayne Dumond. Parole eligibility was during Bill Clinton's time. It will be more Hillary's problem, than Mike's in the general election. Mike did not pardon him.
Alan asks about taxes. Cut taxes 9o times. Cut the welfare roles 50%. Balanced budget every year. Left state with almost a billion dollar surplus.
Sean is asking Mike about attacks from Fred Thompson. Supported gas taxes that payed for better roads and bridges. Had no choice to do anything else. Had to raise taxes in regards to school funding. The Supreme Court made him. These things helped lift up Arkansas schools to be better, raods were better and unemployment went down.
Ends with saying that it is about the people, not the elected officials. Officials don't get elected to be served be the people. They need to be elected to serve the people. We travel down a slippery slope when officials are only in it for themselves.

Dr. James Dobson will appear on Hannity & Colmes Tonight

Watch Hannity & Colmes tonight, to see Dr. James Dobson. This is great timing. He will have a chance to view the debate and hear Mike Huckabee at a debate. I truly believe Dr. Dobson will say positive things about Mike.

Continue checking this blog, after 3pm, to read my take on the debate. If I have no problems with my computer, I will periodically check in during the debate and after the debate. I will also be participating in a bloggers conference call. Do I have a question prepared? Will my question get answered? Stay tuned later tonight to find out. Don't forget to watch the Michigan Debate on CNBC at 4-6pm live and again at 7-9pm on MSNBC.
h/t to R. George Dunn for the Hannity & Colmes info.

Let's here it for Michigan! God Bless from the Upper Peninsula in Michigan!

Newt Speaks Up

Well, my local PBS affiliate has "Outdoor Michigan" on, not the debate. Anyhoo, I am channel surfing. I came across Hannity and Colmes. I caught the end of Newt Gingrich being interviewed. Hannity went off saying to Newt, "You have said nice stuff about Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain and Fred Thompson." Newt says, "Oh, I have also talked about Mike Huckabee." Sean didn't want to hear it. But Newt was saying that Mike Huckabee has great ideas and he is a formidable candidate. I guess maybe Newt gave him a head slap during the break. After the next guest came on they were talking about Hillary Clinton. Sean mentioned the comment Mike Huckabee made about Hillary "kissing George Soros' backside." That was the first time I have heard Sean mention anything positive about Mike. Come on Sean, that was nice but start talking about more meatier issues regarding Mike Huckabee. I guess I will keep the channel on Glenn Beck.
