  1. Real tree or artificial? Foil tree when I can afford it I'll get an aluminum tree. If you’re gonna go artificial ya might as well go all the way.
  2. Foil or Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper
  3. When do you put up the tree? Usually Thanksgiving Day, but I have been lazy this year.
  4. How is the tree decorated? Mostly glass balls from Family Dollar and “inherited” ornaments, “tres retro.” The carousel horse from when I was a kid is a must to go on first. My dad’s old Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas record playing, during this ritual.

  8. Do you have a nativity scene? Just a little knick knack size from Family Dollar.
  9. Hardest person to buy for? I don’t buy presents. I make them. My dad, and his dad are the hardest to figure out what to make for.

  17. Clear lights or colored on the tree? I have red lights, they came with the tree my cousin gave me and I am too lazy to switch to multi
  18. Favorite Christmas song? I love them all! But my fave is Brian Setzer’s rendition of Oh, Holy Night. It mixes classic and new with an electric guitar.
  19. Travel for Christmas or stay at home? Sometimes
  20. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? No
  21. Angel on the tree top or a star? Tacky retro glass tiered thingy.

You make your gifts too! I haven't gotten too creative with it yet, and they're only psuedo-bought. For example, last year I bought a sketch-book for my father and customized the cover with scans from art he did back in high school.

Family really is the best part of the holidays. My favorite part of Christmas is sitting down and watching the Christmas Classics with my dearest loved-ones.

This season I can just pop the magic into the DVD player. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, Frosty the Snowman and four more holiday classics are all available in one beautiful keepsake package: The Christmas Classics DVD Box-Set. It even comes with a bonus music CD! You can buy this wherever DVDs are sold, but it’s also available at http://www.christmasclassics.tv. I only know about it because I work with the company, but it’s something my family and I will treasure for many holiday seasons to come.

Happy holidays!
