  • Black Leader: Democratic Party Architect of Racism

  • Monday, February 25, 2008 9:43 AM
  • By: Ronald Kessler
  • Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association, describes the Democratic Party as the architect of modern day racism.
  • Rice, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and lawyer, says in an interview it was Republicans who pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil rights legislation in Congress. Now, she says, Republicans stand for empowering blacks to help them out of poverty. In contrast, Rice says, the Democrats push to keep blacks dependent on government handouts and encourage them to see themselves as victims.
  • In Rice’s view, “The Democrats fight every effort of Republicans to get blacks out of poverty because they know that once blacks become prosperous, the Democratic Party will lose its power base.”
  • Rice co-founded the National Black Republican Association in 2005 with the mission of returning African-Americans to their Republican Party roots. Because co-founder Andre Cadogan knew Newsmax CEO and Editor in Chief Chris Ruddy, the first meeting of the organization took place at Newsmax offices in West Palm Beach, Fla. The organization has grown from five members to over a thousand members. It publishes a quarterly glossy magazine — The Black Republican — and has a Web site: www.nbra.info.
  • Aligning themselves with special interests, Rice says the Democrats are “fighting school-choice opportunity scholarships that are designed to get black children out of failing schools, because the teacher’s unions wants to maintain control over buildings.”
  • “Our philosophy in the Republican Party is to teach a person how to fish, so he can feed himself for a lifetime, whereas the Democratic Party’s philosophy is give a man a fish, so he can eat for a day,” Rice says.
  • Rice says most blacks are not aware that from its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party, the Republican Party has been at the “forefront of the struggle for civil rights, which is why Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican.”
  • It was Republicans, she notes, who fought to free blacks from slavery and amended the Constitution to grant blacks freedom, citizenship, and the right to vote. Republicans also pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil rights legislation in Congress from the 1860s through the 1960s, Rice says.
  • “It was the Democrat public safety commissioner, Eugene ‘Bull’ Connor, in Birmingham who let loose vicious dogs and turned the fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators,” Rice says.
I recall back in the 2004 Presidential General Election the Democrats posted an ad in a magazine that has a high black readership, using pictures from such past incidents. Funny, they were trying to get blacks to vote against Republicans, of all things, using the slogan, "Don't let them do this again." In reality, it was the "them" that were Democrats.
  • Democrat Georgia Gov. Lester Maddox “brandished an ax handle to prevent blacks from patronizing his restaurant,” Rice says. “Democrat Alabama Governor George Wallace stood in front of the Alabama school house in 1963 and declared that there would be segregation forever. In 1954, it was Democrat Arkansas Governor Orville Faubus who tried to prevent the desegregation of Little Rock public schools. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who sent the troops into the South to desegregate the schools and who appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown versus Board of Education decision.” [more here]

The Real Barack Obama

Here is a an article by Ronald Kessler regarding the truth about Barack Obama, in newsmax.com. He gives his opinions, but me being me, I gotta interject my opinions also.

  • The Real Barack Obama

  • Michelle Obama’s comment that, for the first time in her adult life, she feels proud of America helps crystallize who Barack Obama is.
  • To be sure, the wife of a candidate is perfectly free to have views that are distinct from her husband’s. But on a matter that is so fundamental to one’s being as love of country, it is difficult to imagine that Michelle Obama would publicly twice make such a statement suggesting disdain for America unless she felt it comported with her husband’s views.
I know most of my readers are smart. So I am going to assume that y'all have heard about Mrs. Obama's assinine statement. Thus I will skip that. But here is what I am thinking regarding her statement. Not that I am going to defend people coming into this country illegally, but, these people risk their lives to get here. Some of them die trying to come to our country. Some of the children get abused. Some of the women get raped. Just to cross our borders. If I was one of these people, I would be ticked off at her statement. As an American I am ticked off at her statement. Think about it. If this country was so freakin awful, people would not be trying to cross our borders. No country is perfect. But this is the best damn country in the world.
  • Equally important, her statement aligns perfectly with the hate-America views of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s minister, friend, and sounding board for more than two decades. On the Sunday following 9/11, Wright characterized the terrorist attacks as a consequence of violent American policies. Four years later, Wright suggested that the attacks were retribution for America’s racism.
  • “In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01,” Wright wrote in his church magazine Trumpet. “White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.”
Couple things here. I believe in guilt by association. That is one of the reasons I stopped supporting Mike Huckabee. The last thing this country needs for someone running for the highest office in the land is to be associated with narrow minded people.
Now the second thing is is what this reverse racist is saying. 9/11 was not a racist issue. It wasn't even about one country against another. It was about some jerkoffs who were jealous of American freedoms. There were many ethnicities of Americans who were in the World Trade Center that horrible, horrible day. There were many first generation Americans in that building. These were people who came to our great country because they wanted the social, religious and economic freedom this great country of ours provides. Some of those people were Afghanis whoi were trying to get away from the oppressiveness of the Taliban. Ironically sad, they were killed by those they were trying to escape.
  • Wright has been a key supporter of Louis Farrakhan, and in December, honored the Nation of Islam leader for lifetime achievement, saying he “truly epitomize[s] greatness.”
Now there's unity, NOT!
  • Bereft of official accomplishments, Obama has distinguished himself mainly by being against measures that protect American security, such as finishing the mission in Iraq. If we were to leave Iraq quickly, as Obama vows he would do, it would become a launch pad for al-Qaida attacks on the U.S.
  • Obama avoided voting on extending the Protect America Act, thus putting America at risk when immediate interception of terrorist communications is required. Last August, Obama voted against a measure that would have allowed the U.S. to continue to monitor overseas conversations of terrorists like Osama bin Laden without first obtaining a warrant.
  • If his radical vote had prevailed, bin Laden would have been given the same rights as Americans.
Mr. Kessler's response to Michelle Obama's dumb asinine comment;

  • And what has been wrong with America up to now? That it gave Michelle the opportunity to attend Princeton and Harvard Law School? That it gave Barack Obama the chance to attend Harvard and Harvard Law School and become a U.S. senator making more than $1 million a year from book royalties?
  • Was it that America stopped Nazi Germany from continuing to murder millions of Jews? That America has provided Africa and other countries with $15 billion to combat the spread of AIDS/HIV and that another $30 billion is on the way? That 46 percent of all Americans classified by the Census Bureau as poor own their own homes, 76 percent of them have air conditioning, and 75 percent of them have at least one car? Or that America allows us to express our views freely without fear of being put in jail, as is the case in Russia?
  • A lawyer, Michelle Obama is perfectly capable of expressing herself precisely. In fact, she spoke from a written speech. [more here]
I know the primaries are still going on and there is no for sure Democrat opponent. But my theory is that if Barack Obama is the Democrat nominee, these scary things need to be brought to light. I was watching a biographical episode about him on MSNBC the other day. As I was watching this, I thought he is an interesting person. But just because someone is interesting, that doesn't mean they should be President of the United States. Some people may say I am "interesting," but that doesn't mean I should be president of anything.
